About the Training Facilitators
SAIGON OM
saigon om is a holistic wellness school offering teacher training and retreats in yoga, mindfulness, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Reiki and massage in Canada, Australia and South-East Asia.
Hang Nhan, E-RYT 500
Yoga, Mindfulness, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Massage & Reiki
Hang’s purpose in life is to be happy and to sprinkle this good stuff wherever she goes. She began her active lifestyle in mixed martial arts (MMA) and self-defence which toppled over into fitness, and presently yoga and mindfulness. Openness and humility have become the voice of her current travelling lifestyle, as she slithers around the world reminding students “There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.” Like Sarah, Hang also follows the teachings of Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh (aka Thay) and the Plum Village spiritual community, where she has the honour to visit and deepen her practice regularly.
Hang’s style of teaching is a fusion of forms, inspired from her personal journey of practicing various styles of yoga and Thay’s empowering teachings. She is known for her joyful presence and love of life, helping students “bring back equilibrium” and reminding them that “life really is wonderful”. Hang’s spirit of openness in her teachings are nurturing, dynamic and fun. She focuses on good alignment, stability, and breath to help connect to the highest form of mindfulness. She always feels gratitude to be able to share the Dharma or path on and off the mat/cushion wherever she goes.
Sarah Martin, E-RYT 200
Yoga, Mindfulness, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Massage & Reiki
Australian Sarah woke up one lovely Melbourne day and thought it was time to see the world. She packed up her one suitcase and destined for Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), Vietnam where she lived for 8 memorable years, helping people with her insights and healing magic in massage, Reiki, yoga and mindfulness. Sarah often uses the phrase “Life is too short to …….. (for example: not to travel and explore, be sad or upset because we’re going to be dust in 300 years). Sarah sincerely embraces a humble traveler's life and enjoys sharing her wisdom and knowledge to everyone wherever she goes.
Sarah's teachings and gifts for healing stem from a holistic point of view. She believes in teaching and guiding people in finding harmony, equilibrium, and mindfulness in their daily life, be it through massage, Reiki, yoga, meditation, or healthy eating. She is a sought after mindfulness & meditation teacher, massage trainer and Reiki teacher. When not helping others, you can usually find Sarah on a yoga mat or on a meditation cushion at a nearby Mindfulness Sangha or Plum Village that follows the teachings of Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh.
