Balancing the 5 Elements

In this retreat we will focus on the elements within and without. According to Yogic philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the body constitutes out of 5 elements. The traditions suggest that when the elements are in balance, life is in balance. 

In equilibrium, we are healthy, energetic, grounded, balanced and centered. Out of balance, our life force is affected. This causes excess and deficiency which may manifest physically, mentally and emotionally. In the retreat we will gently work with the 5 elements, to help you harmonise the energies within.

  • 7:00  Morning Tea

  • 7:30 - 9:00 Meditation, Pranayama & Elemental Vinyasa Yoga Class

  • 9:00 - 10:00 Breakfast 

  • 11:00 - 13:00 Tra Que village excursion or free time to relax, explore Hoi An or go to the beach

  • 16:00 - 17:00 Workshop - exploring the elements

  • 17:00 - 18:30 Meridian Yin Yoga & Meditation

Accommodation

We have chosen the most charming An Villa, an oasis amidst the lush nature of Hoi An as our home for the week. A small boutique resort nestled between rice fields, palm trees and natural ponds. An Villa feels like a home away from home with its carefully designed architecture and artistic earthy interiors. Each uniquely designed studio or villa comes with either a private garden or terrace and all accommodations come with a well-equipped kitchen, a coffee/tea maker and a sitting area.

The boutique retreat offers the perfect setup to unwind in nature, with a pool set amidst palm trees allows for a refreshing dip. The iconic old town and the beach are just a bike ride away.

To save your mat, a non-refundable deposit of 18% of the retreat rate per person is required. The remaining retreat cost is paid directly to the organizers.

About the Retreat Facilitators

victruyoga & Sonja Hesser

Victoria of Victruyoga is fascinated by the healing power of yoga and accompanies people to re-discover their balance, re-activate their self-healing capacities and to access their fullest potential. 

With her gentle, unprejudiced and empathetic way she meets you exactly where you are, welcomes the whole of you and empowers you to take the reins for your own wellbeing into your hands.

She hosts worldwide retreats and workshops and has been studying and teaching Yoga in Ecuador, Thailand, India, Bali, the Netherlands and Austria over the past years.

She has worked in yoga retreats, hotels, rehab centers, with private groups, in one-on-ones as well as co-taught teacher trainings. Her style of yoga is flowing and profound, focusing on lightness with a lot of empathy.

Yoga means to bring presence to the moment, to learn to accept self and the world, and to learn to live light. I believe that the path to growth and expression of authentic self can be gentle and enjoyable. 

Sonja's yoga journey began 10 years ago. She now passionately supports people in their healing journey with Meridian Yin Yoga, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, breath work and meditation. As a natural empath, her teaching style is warmly compassionate with a focus on mindfulness.

She takes her students’ individuality to heart, making sure that all can experience the nurturing benefits of a slower and deeper practice. Her approach uses the body, breath and time as a gateway to go inside - allowing  you to become rooted in the present moment and to create space mentally, emotionally and physically.
