Testimonial “What a wonderful retreat! Five days of pure peace and calm in paradise. I loved everything about it, from the excellent yoga classes to the the luxurious villa and the tranquil location. Each yoga class left me feeling calm and restored, and the workshops were full of great mindfulness tips and tools to take away into everyday life. Victoria is a very kind, supportive and professional teacher; she gently guides each of her students on their individual journeys of self-exploration whilst creating a warm, safe and friendly environment conducive to healing and growth. Her yoga classes are perfectly balanced, including poses that challenge and energize, as well of plenty of opportunities to relax. I especially like that she gives a variety of options for many of the poses, making each class truly inclusive and suitable for all levels. The delicious food, beautiful pool and shala were all added bonuses that completed the five star retreat experience. Thank you Victoria!” - Molly M. (UK), October 2019 Retreat

Testimonial: "I really loved being part of the Cultivating Calm retreat. It has inspired me and I have learned so much. I liked that the retreat wasn't only about yoga poses, but also about different ways to meditate and lots of insights about mindful living - this is actually the part that surprised me the most. Upfront I didn't really know what to except from the workshops but I thought they were so inspiring. Lots of seeds planted ;) AND: the venue, its staff and the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend!” - Eef V. (Netherlands), May 2019 Retreat

Even for myself it was magical and I am living in Vietnam. I am actually a follower of Victoria because she has an unique style. I connected with her from the first class I had. Her experience and her presence gave me a feeling of peace. I was so grateful to participate to this last retreat and I will participate to the next. I highly recommend any services from Victoria, she is attentive, understanding and she has some kind of power in her voice. Satisfaction guarantee.” - Nelly R. (France), October 2019 Retreat

I really enjoyed the classes with Victoria, such an amazing teacher. It was easy to follow, engaging, fun and resonated with me.” - Nedda E. (Germany), May 2019 Retreat

Victoria is great. The retreat centre is great. The content of the retreat was wonderful. Although I think I am an experience meditator and work constantly on mindfulness this retreat was perfect to remind me of my practice and provided me with a number of new techniques that I will take into daily life.” - Dan M. About the Retreat Facilitator

victoria nhan

Victoria Nhan is an experienced yoga and mindfulness teacher, trainer and Reiki Master, and Founder of Yoga in Vietnam. Victoria first started yoga as a physical exercise practice - she loved the post-yoga feeling after a power or hot flow class (especially during Canadian winters!). As she continued to deepen her practice, she realized that the mat wasn't just a place to sweat, it was a place to breathe freely, to connect, to balance, and to harmonize the mind, body and spirit.

She believes that the practice is magic; whether we're looking to move, flow and discover our bodies or simply learn to breathe deeply with awareness and joy, yoga and mindfulness give us the space and tools to do so. Yoga & Mindfulness continue to be a practice that nourishes Victoria both on and off the mat. Victoria's teachings and practice draw on her own experience and transformation through yoga, mindfulness and Reiki, and builds on the simple question, "how can we live life with more love, peace, and joy?".

Victoria's practice is based on the Zen Buddhist teachings of the Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village spiritual community. The retreat is open to all backgrounds and religious traditions.
