Rachel began practising yoga in 2013, following a life-changing meditation retreat with the Brahma Kumaris. After years of combining her passions for travel and yoga at intensive retreats across Europe and Asia, Rachel headed to India for a traditional TTC in Hatha Yoga. She has since attended trainings in mindfulness, anatomy and Yoga Therapy, with the intention of continuing down the path toward becoming a certified Yoga Therapist.
Rachel is currently the manager of Yoga Pod Saigon and writes regularly for Yogapedia. She also co-founded Shanti Niwas, a yoga collaborative that holds retreats with the aim of empowering people to find peace within themselves. At Yoga Pod, Rachel teaches a weekly meditation class free-of-charge, as she believes that the transformative power of this practice should be readily accessible to all.
Rachel takes a holistic approach to yoga, teaching skills which can be employed both on and off the mat. She sees yoga as a way of life; a practical tool which can help people to live mindfully and with purpose. Rachel welcomes students of all levels; her classes are always balanced with a splash of playfulness and a big smile!
Rachel is from Congleton, United Kingdom.
